Metro Boston
We offer professional development and learning, and program development and quality improvement training for licensed early care and education programs and early educators working in our region. We also provide consultation for family child care owners and out-of-school time and center directors and administrators. Please be in touch with us if you are interested in working with a skilled coach offering support for all aspects of managing an ECE business including curriculum development and improvement, professional development and training for staff, and meeting the social, emotional, and educational needs of families and children. Biography:
Deb Johnston-Malden has several decades of knowledge and experience working with children and their families throughout the Metro Boston Community. This has included services as a Family Childcare Provider, FCC Home Visitor and Administrator, Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Lead Teacher, and Program Director at Nonprofit, For Profit, and Head Start Programs. Over the past 10 years, Deb has taught adjunct at UMASS/Boston, Department of Curriculum and Instruction along with teaching positions at Colleges in Eastern Massachusetts.
Presently, Deb serves as Metro Boston Professional Development Coordinator, Strong Start Professional Development Centers. Deb earned her B.A. from Simmons College, and M.S. from Wheelock College, Boston, MA. Deb is currently enrolled in the Early Education Research, Policy and Practice, Post-Master’s Certificate Program at UMASS/Boston.
