New eLearning course available!

The new self-paced eLearning course — Introduction to Curriculum Planning — is now available in the course catalog on the StrongStart Learning Management System. This is a free one-hour course available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese. 

From the course description:

Early childhood educators are charged with using a curriculum that includes research-based teaching practices and aligns with EEC’s early learning standards.  Your curriculum is your plan for what you will do with your children each day.  This course will provide an introduction to curriculum planning, elements of a quality curriculum and the connection between curriculum and assessment. Learners will:

• Become aware of the basics of how to design and use curriculum,

• Understand the connection between curriculum and assessment, and

• Become aware of how to support and improve children’s learning through the teaching and learning activities included in your curriculum plan
